Approvals Manager App | Microsoft Teams Challenge



We are delighted to let you know Unipartner got 3rd place at Microsoft’s Teams Challenge!


This was the 4th edition of Teams Challenge, a Microsoft initiative for partners, to identify new Teams applications in order to leverage the platform’s possibilities for new use cases.

Unipartner presented a solution designated “Approvals Manager App”, built on Power Apps and Microsoft Teams, to help organizations increase collaboration and productivity.


The Approvals Manager App centralizes all approval requests, the documentation submitted for approval to support decision-making and all document versions. It gathers all documents versions and comments based on a structure of workflows defined at the start of each request. The Approvals Manager App retains all approvals and rejections history for auditing, compliance and analytics purposes.

Approvals Manager App presents operations’ KPIs to support daily statuses and a global dashboard with several metrics and SLAs. Additionally, it sends notifications through Teams, to support users’ actions and incorporates a virtual agent to answer coworkers’ questions if needed.

When developing a new request, the approval process starts with a request where the user submits all information and documentation needed and identifies who will approve, who will be notified and give feedback.

Approvals Manager App can be extended to support:

  • business templates for workflow specific processes;

  • the incorporation of digital signatures;

  • integration with other internal business applications in order to automate the approval process and information exchange.
