Unipartner presents “Development Life-cycle: Methodology, Best Practices and Continuous Improvement” Workshop at Universidade da Madeira
Unipartner recently held a successful Workshop on Development Life-cycle: Methodology, Best Practices, and Continuous Improvement at Universidade da Madeira. This event offered Computer Engineering bachelor and master students an opportunity to delve into contemporary software development practices.💡
Diogo Babo, Unipartner Madeira Center of Competence Coordinator, opened the session with an introduction to Unipartner and our Madeira CoC, followed by a comprehensive overview of the development lifecycle, focusing on the functional analysis, implementation, and quality assurance presented by Mónica Alves, Software Quality Assurance Consultant. This session also provided a comparison between Agile and Waterfall methodologies, enabling the students to gain valuable insights into the flexibility and iterative nature of Agile, contrasting it with the more structured and sequential approach of the Waterfall model.
The workshop was crucial in emphasizing the importance of adaptability in modern software development and in modern industry practices. The students also had the chance to apply their newly acquired knowledge to real-world scenarios, helping them solidify their understanding of the discussed methodologies and concepts. The workshop concluded with Diogo Babo and Filipe Frango, Unipartner’s Application Engineer, highlighting the exciting career opportunities that are available.
This event reinforced Unipartner's dedication to promoting innovation and sharing knowledge within the technology sector. We want to thank all the students for their active participation and thoughtful questions, which contributed to the workshop's great success 🚀
